Combat Submission BJJ (CSBJJ) – Powercore MMA
Every technique in Combat Submission BJJ traces back to a simple idea: control beats chaos. Developed by Erik Paulson under the guidance of Professor Rigan Machado, CSBJJ is a complete gi system of joint locks, chokes, sweeps, guard passes, and takedowns — built for flow, not force.
At Powercore, that lineage isn’t secondhand. Head Coach Rahneer Fabi earned his brown belt directly under both Erik Paulson and Rigan Machado, so everything taught here connects straight back to the source.
On the mats, you’ll build
- A rock-solid foundation – positions, guard, escapes – from day one
- Sweeps, passing, and submissions layered on as you grow
- The ability to neutralize size and strength with leverage and timing
- Real progress through the belt system (white to black), earned on the mat, not given CSBJJ isn’t drill-only.
Live rolling is central to how we train
Because technique only means something when it holds up against a partner who’s actually trying to stop you. Beginners and competitors roll side by side, in an environment built for both.
Self-defense, competition, or just the toughest workout you’ll find – CSBJJ meets you where you are. No experience needed. Just show up.
